Аудиовизуальная инсталляция состоит из редимейда (ель), фотографии и звукового сопровождения. Высохшее дерево представляет собой воображаемый автопортрет художницы.
Оно имеет свою историю: мёртвой ели уже полтора года, и хозяева квартиры, в которой потом проживала Ксения, оставили её из-за скоропостижного отъезда. На первый взгляд, дерево кажется живым, но таковым не является. Оно перестало быть символом праздника, потеряв свое прямое предназначение. При этом высохшая ель продолжает свое существование, став олицетворением ментального и физического состояния автора в контексте времени, в котором физическое функционирование превращается в условность. Вместе с деревом художница, которая мигрировала в другую страну, обрела возможность с помощью художественного высказывания заявить: «я здесь».
Звук метронома воплощает в себе отсчет времени, сбивающегося пульса, который то учащается, то восстанавливается. Фотография является компиляцией из автопортрета художницы и фиксации ели в настоящем моменте.
Работа была показана на выставке «Рабочее название» студентов третьего набора Garage Academy в галерее «Рельсы», г. Тверь, Россия.
После завершения выставки ель была утилизирована.

The audiovisual installation consists of a readymade (spruce), photography and sound accompaniment. The dried tree is an imaginary self-portrait of the artist.
It has its own history: the spruce is a year and a half, and the owners of the apartment, in which Ksenia lived later, left it due to a sudden departure. At first glance, the tree seems to be alive, but it is not. It has ceased to be a symbol of the holiday, having lost its direct purpose. At the same time, the dried spruce continues to exist, becoming the personification of the mental and physical state of the author in the context of time, in which physical functioning turns into a convention. Together with the tree, the artist, who migrated to another country, gained the opportunity to declare with the help of an artistic statement: “I am here.”
The sound of a metronome embodies the countdown of time, a faltering pulse, which then quickens, then recovers. The photo is a compilation of the artist's self-portrait and a snapshot of a spruce in the present moment.
The work was shown at the exhibition "Working title" of the students of the third set of Garage Academy in the gallery "Relsi", Tver, Russia.
After the exhibition ended, the spruce was disposed of.
